New issue of Sydasien now available

The magazine Sydasien (www.sydasien.se) is an important channel for spreading news and analyses about South Asia in the Swedish language. Sydasien was founded in 1977. First appearing in print, Sydasien transitioned into an online-only format in 2011.

Through a new collaboration between Sydasien and SASNET the magazine once again appears in print, this time biannually. Through SASNET the online version of Sydasien gains more depth as a platform for reports and articles that present new research on South Asia in a clear and accessible manner. Selected articles appear in the printed version of Sydasien.

The printed version is sent out to researchers, journalists and old subscribers. It is also be handed out at events in the hope of further spreading knowledge of the region to a broader audience. 

Do you want to contribute with knowledge about South Asia which nuances the image of the region provided by mainstream media? Would you like to share your research findings with a broader audience? Do you have students who have done fieldwork in the region and want report their findings? Do you want to spread your journalistic work on the region?
