23 January. SASNET Public Lecture with Jagannath Panda: "Power Plays in a Multipolar World: Mapping India’s Global Game"

A public lecture with Jagannath Panda (Head of the Stockholm Center for South Asian and Indo-Pacific Affairs) on India’s strategic choices in the Indo-Pacific. This lecture is a collaboration with the Lund Association of Foreign Affairs.

13 February. SASNET Book Launch with Kristina Myrvold: "The Sikhs in Print: Media, Politics, and Surveillance in Colonial Punjab"

A book launch with Visiting Professor Kristina Myrvold (Centre for Theology and Religious Studies) presenting her book "Sikh News in India, 1864–1924: Colonial Reports on Vernacular Newspapers of Punjab", providing insights into the broader landscape of print media in Indian languages and how discussions on the Sikhs in the press evolved in response to changing imperial policies and politics.

20 March. SASNET Public Panel Discussion: "Women's Rights in South Asia"

A public panel discussion on the current state of women's political rights in South Asian countries. This lecture is a collaboration with the Lund Association of Foreign Affairs.

8 April. SASNET Seminar with Anisur Rahman: "Censorship, Silence and Persecution of Writers in South Asia"

A SASNET seminar with Anisur Rahman, Bengali-Swedish poet, public educator and journalist on the decline in press freedom in Bangadesh and the South Asia region.

5 May. CMES & SASNET Book Talk with Rhys Machold: "Fabricating Homeland Security: Police Entanglements across India and Palestine/Israel"

A book talk with Dr. Rhys Machold (University of Glasgow) on homeland security and efforts to reproduce it as new state form of policing around the world.
