International Conference on India and China in Contemporary Times

Centre for Chinese and South East Asian Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in collaboration with Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is holding an International Conference on Changing World Order: India and China in Contemporary Times 14-15 April 2017. Conference Venue: JNU, New Delhi, India.

The aim of the two day Conference is to relook at the current relations between the two rising powers and assess the change they can or are bringing to the Asia as a region and world at large. The proposed two day Conference will broadly cover the following sub themes, but not limited to these themes:

  1. Rise of major powers in Asia and their relations with India and China
  2. Vision of world: Indian and Chinese perspective
  3. Economic and Trade linkages between India and China
  4. Political changes and its impact on foreign policy
  5. India look East policy and its role in Asia
  6. China’s proposition of OBOR and regional engagements
  7. Role and association of India and China at regional and sub-regional forums
  8. India-China relations: Cooperation, Competition, or Rivalry
