SASNET Director Andreas Johansson visited Aga Khan University Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations in London from March 13 to 14.
During the visit Andreas met with the Director of the Aga Khan University Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations, Professor Leif Stenberg, and discussed the future collaborations between the two institutions. Aga Khan University established the Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations in 2002. AKU-ISMC is a higher education institution with a focus on research, publications, graduate studies and outreach and is part of the Aga Khan Foundation. Both the ISMC and the Aga Khan Foundation have an interest in South Asia and could therefore be natural partner for SASNET in the future. Both organisations are currently working on a MoU to find possible ways for future cooperation.
Andreas also presented his forthcoming book “Pragmatic Muslim Politics” at the Centre on March 13.
