Screening of the movie Boys Who Like Girls

SASNET in collaboration with MAVA invites you to a documentary screening and lecture held by the founder of the Indian organization MAVA (Men Against Violence and Abuse).

post
MAVA is the first men's organization in India directly opposing gender-based violence against women. Spearheaded by Mr. Harish Sadani, MAVA has supported women's rights and promoted healthy masculinity since 1993, often working closely with local women's organizations. To date, MAVA has reached out to over 20,000 men and women in India who are facing gender-related problems. Their initiatives range from direct intervention, workshops, street-plays and panel discussions, to a magazine and phone helpline. Mr. Sadani’s operates under the principle that educating boys about gender roles and making them aware of their own privilege is the only way to enact sustainable societal change.
