From this year onwards, the Swedish South Asian Studies Network (SASNET) will award an annual Best South Asia Thesis Award for an excellent Bachelor or Master thesis in the humanities or social sciences (broadly conceived), which has been submitted and defended by a student at Lund University.

- With the prize, we both hope to build on Lund University's long history of promoting and disseminating knowledge about South Asia and to encourage students to continue to write well-informed and innovative theses on matters pertaining to the region, says Ted Svensson, Director at SASNET.

Deadline for application is 24 June 2022.
