An article on SASNET's researcher Admir Skodo, written by Elina Vidarsson, has been published in the Swedish online magazine Sydasien (South Asia).

The article is on Admir’s research, which draws on conceptual history, critical theory of race, historical sociology, and global history in order to examine how the concept of the Afghan refugee/immigrant has been constructed and contested by the state, media, civil society, humanitarian NGOs and international organizations, and refugees themselves during the Cold War and the War on Terror. Admir focuses on Afghans in the Swedish region Scania and the San Francisco Bay Area in the USA.
