Successful GO:India & SASNET brown bag seminar in Gothenburg
A second Go:India & SASNET Brown Bag seminar was held in Gothenburg on 29 May 2012. Venue: The Glass House (Glashuset), Chalmersgatan 4, Gothenburg.
The seminar featured Annika Härenstam (photo to the left), Professor in Work Science at the Department of Sociology and Work Science, University of Gothenburg. She spoke on ”Gender, leadership and health promotion in working life”, presenting the SIGN network – Sweden-India Gender Network, a network which aims to link researchers and organizations in India and Sweden, in order to share knowledge on Gender, Work, OSH (Occupational Health and Safety) and Environment in both countries for long-term collaboration. In 2011, the received a grant of three million SEK from Sida.
This seminar was also the last for the spring semester of 2012 in which SASNET and Go:India/University of Gothenburg collaborated in order to offer a lunch seminar series with focus on India, similarly to the SASNET Brown Bag seminars in Lund. After an evaluation of the resources and outcomes from this collaboration, SASNET and Go:India will consider the possibilities to continue the seminar series during the fall term 2012.
