Gothenburg workshop on Lohorung and Nepali spoken language

Since 2009, Professor Emeritus Jens Allwood at SCCIIL Interdisciplinary Center, Department of Philosophy, Linguistics, and Theory of Science (FLoV), University of Gothenburg, has led a research project on ”Contributions to the "Linguistic Survey of Nepal" – work on Lohorung and Nepali spoken language”. The project, funded by a Swedish Research Links grant, has been carried out in collaboration with Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu.

As part of the project collaboration, a group of Nepali researchers (Sagun Dhakhwa, Bhim Regmi, Ram Sakun and Madhav P Pokharel) are visiting the SCCIIL Interdisciplinary Center on 30 April – 6 May 2012. On Thursday 3 May, there will be a workshop where the Nepali researchers present their work in a series of five talks. Venue: IT University at Lindholmen, House Patricia.
