The Centre for Biodiversity and Conservation (CBC) at Ashoka Trust for Research and the Environment (ATREE) invites applications for a Department of Science and Technology supported project on `Adapting to and mitigating ecological and socio-economic impacts of climate change: Training and capacity building’.

The Coordinator will be based in Bangalore and will be responsible for coordinating and organising summer schools, workshops, and pre-workshop stakeholder consultations. Apart from co-ordinating efforts, the candidate is also expected to help develop curricula for summer schools on Biodiversity Conservation, and material for workshops on Water Resources, Ecosystem Services, Wetlands, and Grasslands, along with the faculty involved.

The position involves travel to various sites in the Western and Eastern Himalayas and other parts of the country as part of the coordination effort. Candidates with a background in Ecology/Environment Science /Natural Resource Management/other related disciplines with demonstrated experience of having organized workshops/conferences is preferred. Good interpersonal and communication skills are also expected of this position. The position is equivalent to SRF and the remuneration will follow SRF scale of DST.
